In the spirit of Ramadhan, Education Malaysia Washington DC and Michigan Malaysian Students Association (MIMSA) have co-hosted an iftar with Malaysian students at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor on March 22nd, 2024 (Friday).
The iftar, which is also a collaboration with MARA, MIDA Chicago, and PDRM, is open to all Malaysian students (muslim and non-muslim). During the iftar, participants recited the Quran, listened to the ‘tazkirah’, and performed the tarawih. PDRM also had a short briefing session addressing any issue that the students might be facing while studying here in the U.S.
Earlier in the day, our delegate was touring the beautiful campus of University of Michigan together with Ms Angeline Wong, the President of MIMSA. The University which was founded in 1817, is one of the oldest and largest public institutions of higher education in the U.S.
We would like to express our gratitude to MIMSA committees and Malaysian students at the University of Michigan for their hospitality and friendship during our short stay. It was truly such a pleasure to be able to get to know them.
