Call for PhD Research Grant Applications from Developing Countries to The World Bank Robert S. McNamara (RSM) Fellowships Program: Application Period January 5 to February 2, 2016

Background on the RSM Fellowships Program:
Each year, the RSM Fellowships Program awards grants of up to $25,000 for developing country, women and men PhD candidates to conduct innovative, development-related, research under the supervision of a research advisor at a host institution abroad. It is a wonderful opportunity for the most promising developing nation researchers to advance their doctoral work with the best international advisors and host institutions in their fields of study.
The Fellowships Program draws its financing from a trust fund endowed with contributions from the governments of Bangladesh, China, India, Kuwait, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, former Yugoslavia, and the World Bank.
Its goal is to reach developing country and region’s best and brightest women and men researchers and lecturers from their top-level universities, research centers, and relevant professional networks.

Applicant Must:
• Be a citizen of a World Bank member developing country;
• Not be a dual citizen of a developed country;
• Be 35 years of age or younger;
• Be enrolled in a PhD program in a member developing country of the World Bank;
• Reside in a member developing country of the World Bank since enrolled in the
PhD program;
• Have completed all coursework and exam requirements for attaining a PhD;
• Have a PhD thesis centered on a field
