On the 22nd of March 2014, the Malaysian Students Association of Ohio State University hosted the Malaysian Cultural Night!
Students across multiple universities attended the well-celebrated event. “Malaysian Night” as it’s commonly known, is no stranger amongst university students in the United States and elsewhere across the globe. This event allows students the opportunity to organize cultural performances, tributes and activities to show not only to other Malaysian students, but also to students across diversified cultural backgrounds. Among the universities in the US that have hosted the Malaysian Night includes the Stevens Institute of Technology, Purdue University and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. This event helps promote and emphasizes the richness of culture in Malaysia. For our students, it was also a way to feel close at home – through seeing familiar dances, cultural activities and building strong relationships with the Malaysian community – even though home for them is 9358 miles away.
Hats off to our students at Ohio State University for all your efforts in throwing such a successful event!
