

On February 2nd 2025 (Sunday), EM Washington DC, with the assistance of the National Assembly of Malaysian Students in America – NAMSA, had a virtual engagement session with the East Coast Student Leaders from 8.00 pm to 9.30 pm (EST).
The session, which was moderated by Ms Lily Awing Paul, The Vice President of the National Assembly of Malaysian Students in America – NAMSA, joined by EM Washington, EM Chicago, and students leaders from 14 universities (Boston University, Brown University, Carnegie Mellon University, Columbia University, Cornell University, Georgetown University, Georgia Tech, John Hopkins University, New York University, Ohio State University, Pennsylvania State University, Princeton University, University of Maryland, and University of Pennsylvania).
During the session, Mr Muhamad Syahrul Nizam Ismail, Acting Director/Education Attache EM Washington, presented a brief introduction of EM Washington to the newly selected student leaders (for 2025/2026 session). Afterwards, everyone discussed this year’s plan to better engage with the Malaysian Students at their universities through events and programs under the guidance of EM Washington.
